After graduating from high school in Georgia, I pursued my undergraduate education in the UK at University College London. I studied Information Management for Business which is essentially a synthesis of the study of computer science and business management. Upon graduated, I joined a fantastic startup team of VIENI, a disruptive, UK-based bus sharing platform. It connected like-minded people by enabling on-demand bus travels according to the travelers' needs. The idea was to cater to customer demand while reducing costs, carbon emissions, and making trips more enjoyable. Our goal was to reinvent the way people traveled together while stressing community benefits, convenience, and environmental considerations. My role at VIENI was to work on business development and digital marketing.Upon returning to my home country from the UK, I was hired at Georgia’s innovation and technology agency (GITA), which is the state organization, that helps startups to form, develop and grow. I work there, as a had of the Strategic development department - I coordinate and manage different innovational bootcamps for school and university students, which introduces them to STEM subjects and allows them to work on real-life programs. I also coordinate the pre-accelerator program which allowed seven Georgian universities to establish their pre-accelerator programs onsite. I am also involved in other national and international projects, which keeps me updated with the global startup ecosystem. Meanwhile, I was lecturing Entrepreneurship at Business and technology university. I am also a Forbes Woman Georgia contributor, where I try to increase the awareness about entrepreneurship and innovation.Recently, I got a Fulbright and I am moving to the US next year to pursue my master's in entrepreneurship and innovative ventures at Rochester Institute of Technology. I would like to emphasize that I strongly believe in women's power in developing innovation and technology ecosystems. I am an active woman advocate and often participate in different events to empower and inspire women's participation in STEM fields.
